Yonatan and Rebecca wanted to have an alternative wedding in Israel, with a traditional Reform Huppa. They decided to have the seven blessings cited by me, their Reform Rabbi, but with minor alterations to better suit the couples’ values and world views.
The writing of the seven blessings and the writing of the Ketubah was an important part of our wedding planning process, in which Rebecca and Yonatan shared their unique, liberal world views, and could connect to the Reform Ceremony on an intimate level.
The final Huppa was an Israeli wedding with a European vibe, alternative but Jewish and traditional. Friends and family took an active part in the ceremony. Yonatan and Rebecca, I will never forget your Reform Wedding. Thank you!
