Naomi married my partner and me in an extraordinarily beautiful, sensitive, and personal ceremony during the Israeli summer. I grew up in an American Reform community, while my partner is Israeli and comes from a traditional Orthodox home. Our different backgrounds brought real challenges, which Naomi navigated gently and sensitively through open conversations with both families.

The wedding day was profound, authentic, and beautiful - from signing the ketubah through the chuppah itself. During the two years between our engagement and wedding, which was postponed several times because of the pandemic, Naomi remained beside us. She moved seamlessly between Hebrew and English, gave equal space to both partners, and brought an overflowing sense of joy and positivity. We felt how deeply she cared about us and every stage of the journey. You will not want anyone else standing beside you on this day.

How rare it is to find someone who truly understands from the outside what is happening within - and can give it words with complete sensitivity. The process was better than we could have imagined. We chose to marry in Greece and wanted a ceremony that could hold all the worlds we come from: traditional and secular, Ashkenazi and Mizrahi, LGBTQ+, activist, and simply us. Naomi was with us throughout - from conversations about our relationship, to writing a ketubah that belonged only to us, to studying the tradition and guiding those who led the ceremony. She held us, understood us, and truly saw us. The final ceremony helped us feel deeply connected to the moment called marriage and chuppah. Don’t hesitate.

Thank you for the moving Bar Mitzvah ceremony you created for our son. You listened carefully, flowed with every request, and moved both us and our guests. During the learning process, you found exactly the right approach for preparing a child raised in California for a Hebrew Bar Mitzvah. In a short time, you helped him develop a meaningful D’var Torah connected to everyday life. Most importantly, our son enjoyed the ceremony - and so did the entire family, including the younger children whom you included beautifully. Thank you for an unforgettable and powerful experience.

Wow! Working with Rabbi Naomi Efrat was such a wonderful experience!

It began with her taking the time to really get to know us, and from there she paid attention to every last detail so that the chuppah would be exactly what we had dreamed of.

She listened to everything that mattered to us and brought so much joy and energy to the celebration!

We feel incredibly lucky to have met her. And honestly, our connection didn’t end with the wedding: we still work with her as a couple in couple's therapy to this day.

Thank you for everything.

Naomi is one of a kind. She created an incredible chuppah for us: egalitarian, joyful, relaxed, and full of heart.

One amazing bonus was that the entire ceremony was held in both Hebrew and English, so my husband’s American family could feel fully included.

I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She’s one of those rare people who stays in your life long after the wedding is over.

As a queer couple, it was incredibly important for us to find someone who would celebrate our love without compromise while creating a ceremony that felt  Jewish and authentic. From our very first conversation with Naomi, we knew we had found exactly that. Naomi created a space where we felt completely seen, welcomed, and affirmed. She took the time to understand our story, our values, and the kind of ceremony we dreamed of, and she crafted something that felt profoundly personal and meaningful.

The ceremony itself was joyful, emotional, and beautifully balanced Jewish tradition while embracing who we are. Our family and friends couldn't stop talking about how genuine and moving it was.

If you're looking for an officiant who combines warmth, wisdom, inclusivity, and a deep love of Jewish tradition, we couldn't recommend Naomi more highly.

My American partner is an English speaker, and we had time to search for the special person who could guide these moments wisely and sensitively. Naomi led us on a journey inward. We wrote our ketubah in our own way and met her beneath the chuppah. I have attended many weddings and know how tiring ceremonies can become; thanks to Naomi, these were the most magical moments of our wedding. From ketubah signing to breaking the glass, she led in both English and Hebrew. The ceremony was egalitarian and traditional, with a few changes important to our values. Her sensitivity, humor, respect, and inclusiveness created moments we will treasure forever.

Naomi guided both the process and the chuppah with extraordinary warmth and sensitivity. The ceremony was beautiful, and she handled an unexpected request from my father with grace. My partner had initially worried about the ceremony, but after speaking with Naomi, those fears disappeared. She created exactly the right wedding for us: religious, traditional, egalitarian, family-centered, personal, and moving. Our ketubah reflected - and still reflects - our values. We warmly recommend her.

Do not think twice about choosing Naomi. Beyond the wonderful connection we formed, we received endless compliments about the chuppah and about Naomi herself. We came to her after a long search for someone who felt right for us. She brought who we are as a couple into the ceremony with complete authenticity. She is a winning combination of emotion, lightness, professionalism, and heart. The process itself was joyful and profound, helping us connect to the meaning of our marriage and articulate values that will accompany us. From the first day, Naomi gave us a sense of comfort and calm. It was perfect.

Our experience with Naomi was simply perfect. From our very first Zoom meeting, we immediately knew we had found the right person to officiate our wedding and guide us through this journey.

Naomi's guidance and support were thoughtful, heartfelt, and deeply meaningful every step of the way. She truly saw us as individuals, understood exactly what we needed at each stage, and knew how to provide it with warmth and sensitivity.

Above all, Naomi is an incredible person—kind, calm, and genuinely wonderful to be around. Working with her was an absolute joy, and we couldn't have imagined a better officiant for our wedding.

Tom and Noam

We were referred to Naomi by friends, and from the start we knew we were in great hands. We wanted an egalitarian Jewish wedding that honored tradition while reflecting our values, and Naomi created exactly that.

The process was meaningful and engaging. Together, we wrote a ketubah that truly reflected who we are, and Naomi guided us through every step with care and attention. On the wedding day, she was incredibly attentive to our needs, and the ceremony was beautiful, heartfelt, and eloquently led.

We highly recommend Naomi!

After a last-minute change of plans, we were looking for a wedding officiant just three weeks before our wedding, and finding Naomi was the best thing that could have happened.

We wanted a traditional Huppa that reflected who we are, and Naomi created exactly that. She was warm, calming, flexible, and incredibly thoughtful throughout the process. She took the time to get to know us, crafted a beautiful, personal ceremony and ketubah, and made our wedding feel truly special.

We couldn't recommend Naomi more highly. Thank you!

We first met Naomi three months before our wedding, when we were anxious that things might not go smoothly. Her arrival transformed the process into something calmer and more enjoyable. Fear and uncertainty gave way to joy and anticipation. We became active partners in designing the ceremony in the way that felt right for us. Naomi listened patiently to us, our story, and our relationship, and translated it into words and a ceremony that could not have been better. Every guest, friend, and family member was moved by the chuppah and the unique way she led it. Our wedding was perfect, and Naomi’s ceremony was unquestionably one of the reasons why.
