Naomi married my husband and I in a beautiful and extremely personal reform ceremony in Israel in June. I grew up reform in the US, my husband grew up masorti in Israel. Naomi was able to bridge our diverse personal and familial cultural and religious traditions and practices, gracefully navigate all challenges (and opposition) that arose (it’s not common to have a reform woman rabbi in Israel), while bringing extreme depth of meaning to not only the day itself (from the Ketubah signing to the ceremony) but also to the entire process (preparing us as a couple for this big next step and everything it entailed). Throughout every step of our two year engagement and corona stress and postponement, Naomi was by our side, supporting us in all our needs (spiritual and practical)! Throughout the service she flowed seamlessly between Hebrew and English (making sure all guests understood), she gave space to BOTH our voices as well as our families’ in the service, and she brought an endless stream of positivity; we could feel how genuinely she cared about us! I could not recommend Naomi enough, there is no one else you want standing by your side on this important day!!!

I can't help but be amazed by Naomi.

We got married in May 2022 after two years of engagement and a late wedding in the shadow of Covid. My wife is American and we were seeking an English speaking Rabbi in Israel. We had all the time needed to search and find that special person who could sensibly and sensitively guide these special moments.

Naomi led us on a journey into ourselves and into the depth of our relationship.

After a process that included writing our own ketubah, we met on the wedding day.

Since I have been present at many weddings, I know how tiring this moment under the Huppa and the ceremony itself can be.

Thanks to Naomi - these were the most magical moments of our wedding and probably of our life.

Naomi led the ceremony from signing the ketubah to breaking the glass in two languages - English and Hebrew. Our ceremony - upon our request and in the spirit of Naomi, was egalitarian and traditional with few changes that were important to us in light of the values we grew up with. The ability to interweave everything sensitively, with humor in a respectful and inclusive manner are what made these moments the ones we will cherish forever. I wish you to get married in a ceremony conducted by Rabbi Naomi Efrat.

From the first moment we spoke with Naomi on the phone we felt the click, we had a really good vibe, a light and fun feeling. The connection was so fast. Naomi went through the process of getting to know us and our love story, for it to be expressed in the Huppa in the most exciting way. On the wedding day, Naomi was very attentive, accommodating and beamed with ease.

The Huppa was magical and exciting, and on the other hand light and flowing. It's been weeks after the wedding and we still receive compliments on the ceremony that was moving to tears, which gave an intimate atmosphere and added an empowering connection between the guests.

We highly recommend it to any couple looking for a different, different and exceptionally exciting Huppa!

Thank you so much for the exciting Bar Mitzvah ceremony you held for our son.

You managed to excite us and the audience.
You were able to find the right approach and face the challenge of preparing a child who grew up in California for a Bar Mitzvah ceremony in Hebrew. In such a short time you helped our son prepare a meaningful sermon with a real connection to everyday life.
Most importantly, our son enjoyed the event and with him the whole family, including the small children who participated in the ceremony in a charming way.
Thank you so much for the powerful and unforgettable experience 🙏🏽❤️!

The wedding process was way better than we could have imagined. We chose to get married in Greece, it was important for us to step out of the box, and create a ceremony that would contain the worlds we both come from - traditional and secular, Ashkenazi and Mizrachi, LGBTQ, activist, and simply ours.

Naomi was just there with us, all along the way.

From talking about our relationship, to writing a Ketubah that is genuinely ours, to the study of traditional aspects, to guidance of our ritual leaders.

She simply understood us, really saw us, hugged us in the process. What a miracle for us to come upon her.

Beyond anything else, the wedding itself helped us connect to the practice of rituals, traditions and specifically, the Huppa.

In short - go for it. Don’t hesitate.

Rabbi Naomi accompanied us in a Bat Mitzvah ceremony for our daughter that was tailor made for our family so precisely. With wisdom and sensitivity, Naomi built a unique and meaningful service, and encouraged our daughter to approach her special day with confidence and great grace.

We met Naomi for the first time in June 2022, three months before our wedding.
We were one of those stressed couples who were scared that nothing would go smoothly, that our guests would not be satisfied or that the event would be disappointing.
Naomi's entry into our lives at this point in time made the whole process more relaxing and pleasant. Fear and uncertainty were replaced by joy and excitement. We felt that we became active in creating our ceremony and that we were given the opportunity to design it in the most exact way for us.
Naomi was patient and attentive to us, our story and our relationship ,and the way she managed to convey it to our families and friends in the ceremony was perfect.
There was not one - guests, friends or family members - who was not moved by the Huppa and the unique way in which Naomi engaged everyone.
We had a perfect wedding, undoubtedly one of the reasons for that is Naomi and the Huppa ceremony she led.

Thank you for everything.

In short - don't think twice about going for Naomi!!! Besides the amazing connection we created with her, we received countless compliments on the Huppa and Naomi in particular.
We came to Naomi after a long search for someone who would be the best fit for us. She knew how to bring who we are as a couple into the ceremony in the most authentic way. Her personality is a perfect combination of emotion, lightness, professionalism, and heart.
And let's also talk about the crazy process we went through with her! Besides the amazing Huppa ceremony, we had a fun and deep couple process with her that made us connect with the meaning of our wedding and build a foundation of values that will accompany us further down the road. Naomi has a crazy ability to give a feeling of comfort and calm and the connection with her was natural from the first day. We really couldn't have asked for anything better.
It was perfect perfect perfect ❤️

Naomi is a woman of a rare and special breed. She prepared an amazing Huppa for us, which was 100% gender-balanced, witty and happy. One of the wonderful bonuses is that the Huppa was held in both Hebrew and English for the great joy of my husband's American side. I highly recommend her. Totally the kind of people who stay with you even after the event itself and hopefully for the rest of our lives.
